The “Moliere-Corneille or Moliere Author of the Works of Moliere” project was designed and carried out at the Université Paris-Sorbonne by Georges Forestier, Professor of French literature, Chair of “Études théâtrales du XVIIe siècle” (17th century theatre studies), and senior member of the Institut universitaire de France (IUF).
It constitutes an extension of the Molière21 project, developed by Claude Bourqui, Professor of French literature at the Université de Fribourg (Switzerland), and Georges Forestier, and is also a facet of a larger research project on questions of authorship and literary paternity that Georges Forestier launched at the end of 2011 under the aegis of the IUF.
The Web site “Moliere-Corneille or Moliere Author of the Works of Moliere” was designed and written by Georges Forestier, with the collaboration of Alexandre Gefen (technical development), François Pagès (Web design), Claire Carpentier (redesign of the site, 2019) and Luke Arnason (English version). It received and continues to receive research contributions from Claude Bourqui, Charles Bernet and François Pagès.
As an extension of the Moliere21 site, this site is also hosted by the CEPM (Corpus électronique de la première modernité) attached to the Centre d’Étude de la langue et de la littérature françaises des XVIIe et XVIIIe siècles (CELLF 17e-18e siècles).
The production of this site was financed with the funds provided by the IUF to Georges Forestier.
